Last night at the end of the Tremere game i let it slip to Lol that Tom and I had in fact done it. Yes, thats right ladies and gents, we are the ones who just cannot let go. So, what have we done you might ask. Well, we found a nice game called Space Empires V and recreated the Ineregnum universe for a laugh and have been playing via the internet.

The empire generation is pretty good and allowed us to make fair representations of the empires all you all love. And once we started we came to the shocking discovery that not much has changed.

Storia and Roma Nova still do not get on. not far into the game the evil empire shot a Storia colony ship out of the sky. And as for little old Acheron, I was less than shocked to discover that one of my nearest neighbours were the Eaters of dreams, a collective of agressive mechanoids using the Cylon ship set... Not nice.

So yes, things are rolling (not at a speed Tom and I would like because of orange being the worst internet provider ever) and if there is interest I will let you know how it goes. The scary thing right now is that we know a huge amount of combat is going on in other parts of the galaxy which we can't see... Hmmmmmmm.

I'm thinking of basing my new destroyer design on the Achilles Class.

May very well call it "Patroclus" class ;P

This is the thing isn't it. The range the capital ship missiles give you just means everything else, no matter what damage it does, cannot get close enough to do any damage. We do need to concentrate on stealing more of their ship designs so we can run more accurate simulations and work out whether we have the edge or not. Might be what i didicate most of my spies to for the enxt few turns.

Yes, Tom and me talked about how we would handle the wandering empires and the only option we had was to not include them. We had plenty of empires as it was and we would rather do faithful reproductions than do botch jobs. The idea of Desporia having a home world doesn't really work.

Still the idea of interegnum via this game seems fairly sound so far because of the vast array of option available to you.
